Snow Day
It's definitely a snow day here in Charlotte, North Carolina. Most places seem to be closed. This is probably the most snow we'll see this year. Not much, but a lot for Charlotte. I hope everything's good and safe for me to get to Santiago's birthday.
Here are some recent pics of Keri in the snow in Atlanta. She's wearing the custom vegan winter coat that her boyfriend Jeff had me make for her as a Christmas present... For more pictures of the coat, visit my Flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/aforgottenart/

1st Etsy Listing!
I finally posted my first listing onto Etsy...a light gray coat, that's just perfect for the spring, with a pretty pink flower pin. I'm pretty excited about it! Especially the fact that I finally got my policies and bio up...I was stressing about those for a while. Here are a few pics...and you can click here if you'd like to see it on Etsy.

1951
We had a few pictures taken a while ago with Chris's 1951 Chevy...
That satin black finish has now become an amazing avocado green with cream details. Looking at it just makes you feel like you should be dressed up in your Sunday best...waist-cinching dress, dress coat, white gloves and all of those lovely little details.

Quite lovely, yes? :) I swear...sometimes I think that we were both born in the wrong era. Can't wait until it's all done! I better get to sewing all of those lovely dresses to match!

Foto, Foto
Ok...my goodness! So, I couldn't help myself...Santiago is down for a nap, and I just had to check out this camera bag program. This is what I was able to do in less than 10 minutes. I had to stop myself, before I went through every picture I have saved! The first one is the same picture that I posted of Santiago yesterday, just to give you and idea of what you can do. I so love the feel of vintage pictures...
Hours of Fun
Today, I purchased the Camera Blog desktop, which was kindly brought to my attention by my good friend Jenn, of MonkeyandSquirrel. I have to say, it seems like a pretty awesome program that's going to be providing me with hours of fun...oh, and productivity, of course :)! I'll be playing around with this, and posting a little bit of what I come up with.
If you haven't visited Jenn's etsy shop, you're missing out. Filled with "whimsical goodies" from hand-painted cast-iron decor to uber-girlie headbands, this shop is one to love. Check it out for yourself.

Lucky Girl!
I consider myself a pretty lucky girl. I mean, look at who I get to hang out with every day...
he's the coolest little dude I know! No, I'm not a mommy, but I am a proud auntie and full-time nanny to this little man.
He's tons of fun and completely chill, which I'm oh so thankful for! Santiago's first birthday is coming up at the end of January. He likes to listen to music, lay on his uncle Chris for naps, watch Elmo, and people-watch while I shop. He especially loves messing with any electronics I have around..i.e. computer and cell phone. As I'm writing right now, he's pressing on every key, which I get to go back and delete. I'm letting him though, because- for one- it's hilarious, and two- I know he's just trying to help his auntie. I know his intentions are completely innocent.
I love when he gives me kisses, hugs...when he falls asleep on me, remembers something I've taught him, and...especially when he smiles and laughs. Those two new little teeth that look like grains of rice in his mouth are all too cute! Still, though, they are also a reminder to me that he is growing up quickly.
No, I may not be ready to be a mommy just yet, but I sure do enjoy every second I get to spend with this little man.
Now, if you'll excuse me, we've got some playing and napping to do!

It's official...
I'm a blogger!
AForgottenArt.etsy.com is almost up and running. I've been sewing a ton lately, and really enjoying it! I wish there were more hours in the day, but then again, don't we all?
I'm looking forward to this blogging deal...especially being able to finally comment on other bloggers' pages! For so long, I've enjoyed your awesome blogspots. Now I'll be able to thank you all out there for the inspiration you provide...through the things you say, the things you create, and your own inspiration that you share. Yes, I know, as if I need one more thing to take up time in my already jumbled day! However, I do think this will be well worth it. Happy blogging!
